This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") outlines the rules and restrictions that apply to your use of the "Adulting is (NOT) Hard" mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Impact Strategy Group LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing, downloading, registering for, or using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy. If you violate this Policy, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service without notice.
1. Prohibited Content
You are solely responsible for any content you create, upload, post, send, or store on the Service, including but not limited to custom decision lists, group names, descriptions, and messages ("User Content"). You agree not to generate, transmit, or share User Content that:
Is Illegal: Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
Is Harmful or Abusive: Promotes violence, hate speech, discrimination, racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual.
Is Harassing: Harasses, bullies, stalks, intimidates, or threatens any other user or person.
Is Defamatory: Is libelous, defamatory, or slanderous.
Is Obscene: Contains pornography, sexually explicit material, or content that is otherwise vulgar or offensive.
Violates Privacy: Reveals personal or confidential information of others (such as doxxing) without their express consent.
Infringes Rights: Infringes upon any third party’s intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets.
Promotes Illegal Acts: Instructs, promotes, or aids in the commission of illegal activities, including but not limited to drug use, weapon manufacturing, or fraud.
2. Prohibited Actions
In using the Service, you agree not to:
Harm the Service: Attempt to disrupt, damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service’s servers, networks, or security systems (e.g., DDoS attacks, introducing viruses/malware).
Scrape or Harvest: Use bots, spiders, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to access the Service or extract data, including user information, restaurant data, or event listings.
Reverse Engineer: Attempt to decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or discover the source code of the Service.
Bypass Security: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or computer systems/networks connected to the Service (hacking/cracking).
Impersonate: Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
Spam: Use the Service to send unsolicited messages, advertisements, or "spam" to other users.
Exploit APIs: Use the Service’s API integrations (Google Maps, Gemini AI, Amazon) in a manner that violates their respective terms of service or exceeds reasonable usage limits.
3. User Responsibilities & Safety
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Interactions with Others: You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We provide the platform for group decisions but do not screen or conduct background checks on users. Use caution and common sense when sharing information or meeting in person based on plans made within the app.
Third-Party Links: The Service creates links to third-party websites (e.g., Amazon shopping lists, restaurant websites, ticket vendors). Accessing these links is at your own risk. We are not responsible for the content, safety, or practices of third-party sites.
4. Generative AI Usage
Our Service utilizes artificial intelligence (Gemini AI) to generate meal ideas, recipes, and shopping lists. Regarding this feature, you agree:
Not to Manipulate: You will not attempt to "jailbreak" or manipulate the AI to generate harmful, illegal, or prohibited content.
Verification: You acknowledge that AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying recipes, ingredients, and safety information (especially regarding allergies) before use. We are not liable for any health issues or damages arising from the use of AI-generated recipes.
5. Enforcement
We have the right (but not the obligation) to:
Monitor, review, and remove any User Content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates this Policy.
Suspend or terminate the accounts of users who violate this Policy.
Report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities.
6. Reporting Violations
If you discover any content or user behavior that violates this Policy, please report it to us immediately using the email or contact form below.
